The Constitution recently celebrated its 150th birthday. It is one of the few remaining traditional English pubs in Camden. Lunchtime menu. Ales and beers. Pool table. dartboard. The Constitution recently celebrated its 150th birthday. It is a traditional English pub offering traditional pursuits. Pub grub at lunchtime 12 noon to 2.30 pm Monday to Friday. Everything is under five pounds. There's a pool table, dart board, juke box and fruit and quiz machines.
The bar staff are friendly and super efficient. We'd lay bets that the service at The Con is faster than anywhere in Camden. The garden is beautiful and has won many London in Bloom and Camden in Bloom awards. There is a smoking area which is heated during winter and where you can take your drinks.

Costa del Camden

The beer garden at The Con has won awards for Best Beer Garden in the Camden In Bloom and London in Bloom competitions. After lifting the cup for the winner of first prize a couple of years ago, we decided to rest on our laurels and let other people have a chance. The south-facing garden overlooks the Regent’s Canal and is an oasis in the middle of Camden and a fantastic sun trap. Time Out said of it: "If you can't make Ibiza this summer, go to the Constitution beer garden".

The bard

Picture
Our greatest patron, the late Davy Graham. Davy graced us with his presence on a regular basis and helped the flowers in the garden to bloom to his early morning serenades as Wendy did the gardening. Davy was the seminal English guitarist and we try to keep his memory alive withe The Bard, the Beat and the Blues every other Tuesday evening.
